Job Description:

The JVL Courier is responsible for dropping off and picking up packages and documents to/from institutions, businesses and/or individuals. The main places include customs, post office, airport, local warehouse and others as directed. This person works closely with Warehouse, Imports, Customer Service, Accounting, Sales and Human Resources departments. Must be able to multi-task and handle multiple priorities. Exhibit a cheerful demeanor toward others and communicate effectively with others using spoken words. Must be willing and able to work flexible shifts and changing work schedules. Must go to/from Customs to validate important/confidential customs and financial paperwork. Review all U.S. Customs documentation for accuracy acting as a liaison between Purchasing, Receiving and Imports Departments. Responsible for obtaining signatures and Proof of Deliveries as needed. Responsible to pick-up payments at various locations when assigned Responsible for receiving and distributing documentation such as 7512 forms or invoices. Receives containers, processes all paperwork related to empty containers and reports all empty containers to the proper freight company. Accountable for reviewing and processing all arriving purchase orders. Tracks incoming containers and update spreadsheet log. Manages and distributes all incoming packages delivered by courier services such as FedEx, UPS, DHL Responsible for loading and unloading packages from the warehouse to the assigned destination. Delivery and pick-up of merchandise locally throughout Miami and Port Everglades, warehouse and other areas of the city. Maintain warehouse assigned aisles clean by organizing items from one location to another; this will create space and a safe environment. Responsible for the cleaning and appearance of the company vehicle. Responsible for the completion of company errands including but not limited to going to the post office, customs, making bank deposits and other errands as per business needs. Participates in inventory.

  • Ability to maintain safe operation and clean appearance by complying with organization operational policies

  • Comply with procedures and standards of state and local driving rules and regulations

  • Ability to work on weekends when needed, including scheduled Inventory day/s


High School Diploma or Equivalency and a minimum of 2 years of experience in the related field; Customer service and Receiving Clerk experience preferred.1 year of forklift experience is required. Must have a current/valid driver license. Must be fluent in English.
