Job Description:

JOB TITLE: MATERIAL HANDLER COORDINATOR DEPT.: CIGARS

LOCATION: MIAMI, FLORIDA POSITION OPEN UNTILL FILLED

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM

WEEKEND HOURS MAY BE REQUIRED

RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Material Handler Coordinator will reports to the Logistics Manager and Cigars Supervisor. The responsibilities include being able to receive packages for the MOTTA family-Panama and accurately organize and identify where the package received belongs. The Job routinely requires the ability to read bill of ladings or similar documents in order to complete warehouse receipts for the merchandise received. A warehouse receipts has to be completed for each package and given to the customer service department to process. Incumbents will routinely use the computer to organize and enter all receipts and information from trucks and merchandise into excel spreadsheets. Additional duties include packing/bundling, carrying and stacking of cases and kegs. Responsible for the receiving and sorting of different products, including kegs. All kegs must be organize by brewery and store them in corresponding area. Enter all kegs received into system for inventory purposes. Also identify when enough merchandise has been received in other to ship out to each vendor. Manually load and offload the cigars containers. The use of a forklift will be necessary in order to move merchandise. Must assist in checking inventory as instructed, data entry and scanning of pallets, help in other warehouse related duties as needed. Overtime will be required. Flexible schedule is a must.

Experience and Skills:

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Possess basic math skills

Knowledge in Microsoft office (Outlook, Word, and Excel)

Ability to lift upwards of 50lbs+

Skilled in operating warehouse machinery

Ability to pay attention to detail and thorough in completing tasks

Ability to work flexible work schedule and overtime

Ability to work under pressure

Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION REQUIRED:

High School Diploma or GED. A minimum of one year warehouse experience or a combination of experience and education in a related field. 1 year of forklift experience is required and 1 year of stock picker experience preferred. Forklift certified.
